Join the fun at our annual fundraiser Path to Partnership where you and your horse can benefit by exposure to a wide range of obstacles and training opportunities!
No horse? No problem! We need ground support at all events! Be a safety ambassador and bring your shovel and bucket!

To become a volunteer with Spokane Mounted Patrol, you should have a passion for community service and a love for horses. Basic qualifications include being at least 18 years old, having a valid driver's license, and being physically fit to handle equine activities.
Fill out our online application form, providing your personal details, experience with horses, and your motivation for joining. This helps us understand your background and how you can contribute to our mission.
Once your application is reviewed, including a background check, you will be invited to an orientation session. This session covers our mission, volunteer roles, and the training process, ensuring you are well-prepared for your journey with us.
All volunteers must complete a training program that includes horse handling, safety protocols, and community engagement strategies. This training equips you with the skills needed to effectively serve and protect our community.
